Worked a charm on my German Shepherd, who is currently blowing her undercoat!
This brush works INCREDIBLY well on my currently raggedy German Shepherd! She has been blowing her undercoat, and looks an absolute hot mess, with large tufts of fur loosening up and showing all over her body (worst around her back legs, booty, and neck ruff area). She also, for whatever reason, is a total weirdo about me doing anything to try to help her through this process. If you grab a tuft, she'll growl and also run away, as though it hurts her. or like you're stealing her most precious resources!I KNOW that just pulling out the tufts by hand can't actually hurt her. They're sticking out farther than the rest of her coat because they've already been shed, and just have difficulty falling completely away because they get tangled up with the rest of her coat.I've purchased the much more expensive Furminator brush in the past, which she HATED. There has been a bit of a revolving line of various brush types that have been tried and ultimately failed in our household. Saddle brushes, curry brushes, self-cleaning brushes, undercoat rakes, etc. etc. They have been either ineffective, or just difficult to use, because she seems to hate the feel of them and tries to struggle away. This brush was so cheaply priced that I was willing to at least give it a shot. When I first opened up the packaging, my other dog happened to be closest to me so I swiped down his back just for giggles. I was AMAZED at how much hair came off on that one swipe! He also has an undercoat, but his hair overall is much shorter, so it's not nearly as obvious when he is blowing it. This was a great unexpected bonus, because some of the heavy duty brushes designed for undercoat grooming seem to be uncomfortable for him - the metal is sharp and he doesn't have a big poufy coat to cushion it at all.Anyway, back to the German Shepherd. I brushed her down for maybe 10-15 minutes, focusing harder on the areas where she had the most obvious shedding. No exaggeration - I filled a Walmart bag with floof in short order! She tolerated the brushing, and only growled/groaned a couple of times when I worked on some tangled areas. This was the most painless de-shedding session that we have ever done with her, and definitely also the easiest and most effective as well!Given a few more days of 10-15 minute sessions, I think she'll be pretty much good to go! Apologies for the grody picture but I wanted y'all to see that, no exaggeration, I really did fill an entire shopping bag in just a few short minutes of brushing her out!

Gets the loose hair
This is a wonderful product. I have a golden doodle, solid black. She is a big one supposed to be a light shedder. She has an undercoat and this is the best thing I have found to get that out. It is awesome. My daughter takes care of dogs and she told me to get this. If you have a dog shed, this is a wonderful wonderful thing. You will be surprised how much hair comes out.

Perfect
One stroke pulls out so much German Shepherd fur! It holds onto the fur from a few strokes before you’ll need to pull it out of the teeth of the comb. It is super easy to clean the comb. The comb fits well in my hand. I trained my GSD to let me brush 3 strokes and then I’ll throw her ball. After I pull out the fur and she fetches the ball, we repeat the process :).

Great for tackling my Golden's endless fur!
It's quite a nice brush. Comfortable handle and feels well-made. The tines were a little bit dented so it wasn't a straight line, but it honestly worked just fine. My golden retriever tolerates it for detangling mats and seems to actually enjoy it as a tummy brush. It did seem to get out a lot of her undercoat shedding. I'll add it to her regular brushing routine, but it's not a tool to get everything out at once.

Buy this brush!!
Buy this brush!! This brush works so well at removing the undercoat. My Norwegian Forest cats have a second coat of hair which mats in the spring. This very reasonably priced brush works so well. The cats love it. I highly recommend it.

Good quality
Great price, and I prefer this over the rake style undercoat combs. This just seems to be gentler on my husky's fur. It didn't scratch up the guard hairs or damage them. And she seemed to like it better, or it wasn't as painful.I lost my previous rake, and this one is different in that the teeth on the inside are closer together/shorter, and on the outside the teeth are further apart and longer. This also seemed to detangle her long hair on the back of her legs better.

I use this on my German Shepherd
I have a hairy German Shepherd, especially this time of year when her undercoat really sheds. This brush has become my favorite for grooming her. It effectively helps remove that loose undercoat, keeping her looking neat and feeling comfortable. Affordable and efficient—can't beat that! Highly recommend for anyone dealing with heavy shedding dogs.
